Welcome to the Research Unit in Philosophy of Science!
Philosophy of Science at the University of Vienna includes: general philosophy of science and its history, philosophy of the individual natural, social and cultural sciences, philosophy of technology, ethics and politics of science and technology.
Research in these areas is often pursued drawing on various adjacent fields in philosophy and beyond, e.g. history and sociology of science and technology, cognitive science, epistemology, feminist philosophy, social and political theory, innovation studies, and knowledge management.
